Cistern Yard

This small park, which has come to symbolize the College of Charleston campus, is comprised of Randolph Hall, Porters Lodge, and about 4 acres of green space.

The early republic style main building is still used for administrative and academic purposes and is a quintessential aspect to the ceremonies at the baccalaureate and graduation from the college. The large columns and red stucco and brick finish of the buildings are monumental and picturesque. Located on George Street, just off of King Street, this iconic yard is well worth the short walk.
